to the Springdale Rotary
Club 2449!
The Rotary Club of
Springdale, AR, also known as Club 2449, is
an affiliate of Rotary International. We are an organization of
business and
professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service,
encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build
goodwill and peace in the world.
Springdale Rotary was
organized in 1922 and chartered as the
2449 Club in 1923. From the very beginning, the club has focused on
giving back to the local community.
The Rotary Club of
Springdale, with more than 230 members, is
active locally and globally by providing service in many
areas. Some of our projects include:
- Sponsoring over 3,200
Wheelchairs worldwide in partnership
with the American
Wheelchair Mission
- Providing over 1600
dictionaries to 3rd graders in
over 19 elementary schools in Springdale School System
- Leading
a program called Choices in Family Work
Connection delivered to over 2,500 8th graders in Springdale
Public Schools
- Providing ushers to the Rodeo
of the Ozarks for 60 years
- Sponsoring four
$1000.00 renewable college scholarships to
Springdale Public School graduates
- Building the MIRACLE
LEAGUE field in Northwest
Arkansas
- Building and
maintaining the Springdale Rotary Park
- Sponsoring numerous
donations annually to the Rotary
District 6110 Medical Supplies Network
- Volunteering with the
Salvation Army Bell Ringing Program
- Sponsoring
RYLA and Rotary
Exchange Students annually
- And many more!
Rotary is organized in
more than 200 countries worldwide, with
approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belonging to more than 33,000
Rotary clubs. The Club meets weekly at noon on Monday's at the Springdale
Holiday Inn and is
nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to
all cultures, races, and creeds.
